PABANOR DJ / PRODUCER / REMIXER About: Pablo “Pabanor” Ortiz, Pabanor’s career is scatter by landmark achievements with his many productions to becoming a well known DJ to his kind. From Remixing & Producing El General to David Hasselhoff, Pabanor remains grounded about his achievements and clearly loves playing and making music over the praise it brings. Born in Cuba and raised in New Jersey, Pabanor became a DJ at Emerson Highschool, he started playing at the age of 13, got discovered by a club owner and it took off from there. Resident at “Odyssey Teen Club”, & New Jersey’s “High Voltage Nightclub” he was also featured under the DJ name of “LazerMan” at the following Clubs where his career takes off as a DJ/Producer: “Next to The Park Café”, “Stardust”, “After Darks”, “Garage”, “Passion Night Club”, “Club Casino”, “U4RIA Night Club”, “Seconds”, “Thrills Night Club” in Tampa Bay , “The Beat Club” in Miami, “Club 21”, “Foxes Night Club”, “The Palace”, “The Supper Club”, “Visions” in Miami, & “Club Banana’s” in Italy. In 1991 Pabanor, formed P.A.O, then later on became as know as Pabanor Productions. The label grew to such proportions that in to making his own DJ album to date & Featuring some of the Artist’s on his label. Though known primarily for his pioneering contributions to the Latin House, hip-hop/reggaeton scene, Pabanor’s style is now a mix of everything: progressive, trance, house, techno – it’s the best of all that the dance world has to offer His productions, sets, and releases range from peak time club heaven to the sort of perfect Progressive House, Disco House & Electro session and have at times owed as much influence to high energy as to dance something to look forward in hearing in his long D.J. Sets. Continuing to explore fresh avenues, Pabanor is currently experimenting with new sounds in the studio, and writing more vocals himself. The future for Pabanor promises yet further success, both as the solo D.J Artist he’s becoming and the Producer we know him to be since the early start at Double Platinum Productions what is known today as “Subliminal Records” Run By His Long Time Friend “Erick Morillo”,. As Pabanor would say “It’s hard to look too far into the future. Every couple of months it seems that something new, unexpected and exciting is happening!” …………….. Pabanor’s wide experience in the musical, production and direction has made him a mentor of many artists’ career, such as the famous Rap Artist “EL GENERAL,” “VIC THE KID OF LOS SUCIOS” “UP 4 JOY” , “2 OF A KIND”, “MANNY PACHECO” & “GRUPO SALSABOR.” “ALQUIMIA”, “MARCELO MOLINA”, “FRAGANCIA” (from DLG) , “HEART & SOUL”. His work has been featured in many remixes, and jingles like the MALTA INDIA commercial which took a strong promotional campaign in Puerto Rico and New York. Conducted sound operations and Music Director for L.T.V. Networks,/ Coca Cola Stage for ten years on Calle 8 Carnaval managing the Coca Cola Stage, Tour of Emmanuel in 1988, “Noches Cubanas” Tour in the European Countries, Carnaval en Mendoza (Argentina) and Telethon de Costa Rica in Costa Rica and in USA. Also, he teamed up with one of the legendary producers in the latin market as well as anglo, Jose Silva, (responsible for many productions such as, ABBA, Pointer Sisters, Lionel Ritchie, Chichi Peralta, and many well known artists) together they were the first who started the rise of “Champeta” which the roots of the rhythm came from Africa and developed in Cartegena,Colombia. “Champeta” was introduced in the United States as a new genre of latin music which later on was used to make a fusion with what we know today as “Reggaeton”. He has also worked on projects for artists of international fame such as; “TEMPLE OF SOUL” (Clarence Clemons, Narada Michael Walden, TM Stevens, Vernon “Ice” Black) , Marc Anthony, Lucia Mendez, Laura Leon, Jose Jose, SHABBA RANKS, & DAVID HASSELHOFF. His educational background and experience in the artistic field extends through the phonographic industry where he has worked in several positions from promoter to executive producer likewise he has taken an active part in the realization of several shows, concerts, and international events.
